Essential Duties and Responsibilities
(Additional duties may be assigned as required.)

  • Develop and implement strategic PR campaigns for new and existing products
  • Craft and distribute PR materials including: press releases, media alerts, fact sheets
  • Pitch media to secure coverage across various medias including blogs, online and print while developing and maintaining strong working relationships with key media contacts
  • Manage response to incoming media inquiries in a timely manner
  • Effectively communicate brand messages
  • Develop and implement strategic PR plans to support goals and objectives for sales, marketing and product development teams
  • Assist in developing press releases and other materials as well as managing logistics for PR events
  • Collect, analzye and report on PR results to track success of media placements
  • Develop and maintain regular reports and analysis
  • Work closely with Sales Operations to synch up delivery and execution of marketing support for goals

Required Skills

  • Proven track record of developing successful working relationships with media outlets
  • Able to tailor written material to a variety of audiences
  • Ability to effectively interact at all levels of the organization
  • Experience in attending and facilitating industry trade shows
  • Must be persuasive, detailed, organized and quick thinking with an ability to multitask effectively

The ideal candidate will also possess the following skills:

  • Knowledge of marketing principles
  • Excellent time management, decision-making, human relations, presentation, organizational and problem solving skills
  • Ability to meet short deadlines in fast paced, team oriented environment
  • Strong competence of the various tools, procedures and languages used to accomplish related tasks

Education and/or Experience

  • Minimum of 4 to 6 years experience with proven success
  • Bachelors degree in marketing, communications or related field
  • Outstanding writing and editing ability with knack for adding clarity and simplicity to complex subjects
