Customer Service Representative I (Former Employee), Marina del Rey, CA – April 15, 2012
Pros: personal feel in a professional enviornment
Cons: sales geared enviornment
There was always something for a customer service rep to do at First Bank. It is a place where everyone has the chance to learn many aspects of banking. The management encouraged personal growth and pushed everyone to be the best sales representative they could be for the bank. There are incentives and bonuses given to those who work hard. The most – more... enjoyable part of the job was the personal feel given to and from the customers. It is not your typical bank. The hardest part of the job was encouraging seasoned customers to invest completely in a small bank. It is privately owned and only in a few states, but those who bank with them are loyal because of the employees. – less
Junior /Interim Trust Administrator (Former Employee), San Francisco, CA – April 12, 2012
Cons: too many to list.
Avoid at all costs. An extremely awful place to work. There are no opportunities for advancement beyond a title. Th organization does not pay you what you are worth. First Bank is based St. Louis so they treat regions outside of the Midwest as afterthoughts.
Most uncomfortable work place and unfriendly surroundings promoted by management.
Customer Service Representnative (Former Employee), St Louis – March 25, 2012
I would not suggest anyone working for First Bank. It is a very unpleasant place to work. The managers are only concerned about making themselves look good. It is the most unfriendly place I have ever worked.
Acting Head Teller (Former Employee), Murfreesboro, TN – March 16, 2012
Pros: the co-workers
Cons: uncaring management and low pay
This Bank has some very wonderful employees within it and excellent services for customers; however, as a place to work it is lacking. Management does not seem to care about it's employees and their policy of promoting within is not followed. I was put in the role of Head Teller for almost 3 months without being compensated for it and was led to believe – more... the job would be mine after interviews were done. However, they hired someone with less experience than me and did not even give me a courtesy phone call to let me know of this before sending out a bank wide email congratulating the other person. – less
