Financial Solutions Specialist (Current Employee) – Indiana, PA – March 21, 2018
The CEO was the exact epitome of what a leader should be. That then trickled down to all of the other staff, regardless of position. Everyone in the company was encouraged to "Own it!" when making mistakes. You never felt like you were a problem, there are so many opportunities to learn and progress! The company says "It's your time to be first!" and really takes it to heart not only to the community outside the organization, but also the community that is the organization itself! The most enjoyable part of the job was coming into work everyday. Even as a teller, you're respected as much as the CEO himself. It was the most encouraging and empowering corporate culture you could dream of! The hardest part was trying to keep up with the cut-throat sales required of the position, when you're under staffed due to banking moving to a digital world.
Financial Solution Specialist (Former Employee) – Duncansville, PA – March 21, 2018
So this was a great place to work till my hiring manager took a steo down because of her health. The DM then put his buddy in charge that had very little experience in management and poor people handling skills. He told me that my opinion didn't matter and to just do my job. He was rude and crude.

Banking Industry is not what it use to be. The high level of Fraud and the economy decline makes it very difficult to meet the sales goals. The culture we live in and work in is not safe. In banking you have another level of threat that make it difficult to perform your job.
Financial Solutions Center Manager (Current Employee) – Pittsburgh, PA – January 6, 2018
I learned alot over the course of my career. I was able to move up to a management position, but it took nearly 15 years. The employees are great and I have had a great working relationship with my coworkers as well as my direct supervisors.
Sales (Former Employee) – DuBois, PA – August 11, 2017
This company does not care for their employees at all. They would rather choose unqualified people to do the job. They expect so much from you but do nothing to help you in any way. Totally unorganized institution they do not know what they are doing.
Operations Specialist (Current Employee) – Pennsylvania – July 31, 2017
Typical office environment, day to day work ranges from general clerical to high-level accounting and research. It is fast-paced, generally high workload and high stress, with very high standards. I learned the position through training with no experience, the training was great and easy to understand. Management is generally fair and easy to work with, encourages work life balance and asking questions, but some could use more training.
Financial Services Associate (Former Employee) – Pittsburgh, PA – July 3, 2017
It was a typical banking job. It was tough dealing with difficult customers. Incentive bonus' weren't great. Incentive requirements created a competitive environment within the branch. However there are many opportunities to advance within the company.
Financial Solutions Specialist (Former Employee) – Indiana, PA – June 5, 2017
Management here is terrible on every level. The different branches are constantly undermining the others and are always pitted against each other for the best sales! (PS if you've never worked in banking.... YES there are sales and solicitations involved.) Working with incompetent coworkers who also need to learn what soap and water is. My customers were my enjoyment. Culture was nothing but drama and petty high school ignorance that the manager just couldn't seem to get a handle on. Higher up management is an absolute joke. And talk about forced soliciting. Absolutely one of the worst ever jobs I have had in my life.
A company that is growing and always learning someting new.
Customer Service Representative (Current Employee) – Prestonsburg, KY – May 20, 2017
No two days are ever the same. I usually open new accounts, and help with the customer needs. Should I have a problem I have a manager that is very knowledgeable. I like my manager and my co-workers, we all work together to get the job done. The hardest thing about my job is we could always use more CSR's as the company grows. I enjoy who I work with, we all get alone very good.
Work one Saturday a month, flexible with appointments
financial solutions specialist (Former Employee) – Pittsburgh, PA – April 24, 2017
lots of older women work here and care not enough about the actual job title, but about personal things within the community... the company is attempting to fix this and will be better to work for in about a year
Financial Services Associate (Former Employee) – Johnstown, PA – March 16, 2017
Loved working for First Commonwealth. Worked there twice. They really do attempt to make things fair among their employees. Upper management was seen, often. That is different from any other company I have worked for.
First Commonwealth Bank is a good place to work if t is a starting position
Assistant BSA Officer (Former Employee) – Greensburg, PA – March 4, 2017
After being in the workforce especially the government for 30 years it was hard adjusting to the atmosphere and culture of the banking industry. The salary is below average for the duties assigned. As with many jobs they require a lot of work from the fewest people.
