Qualified candidates MUST be able to analyze financial statements and have a background in Finance.
The Business Lending Credit Analyst will be responsible for reviewing credit data to evaluate business loan requests, analyzing sources of financial information to determine profitability of loans, evaluating sources of collateral and preparing loan documents. Successful candidate must have a minimum of three years experience in underwriting business loans, a working knowledge of reading and understanding financial statements and tax returns, have the ability to communicate effectively with current or prospective members regarding meeting their business lending needs and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Experience with Sageworks a plus.
Essential Requirements of Position:
*Prepare spread sheets and credit analyses to properly assess cash flow, capacity, collacteral and all major risks associated with the Credit Union lending to these businesses
*Manage credit renewals and maturities via portfolio monitoring. Interact with lending officers to obtain appropriate information to complete a credit analysis
*Prepare Credit Approval Memoranda for presentation to Loan Approval Hierarchy
*Conduct periodic portfolio reviews and credit audits
*Assist loan officer with loan closing process
*Maintain tickler for borrower covenant compliance and financial reporting requirements
This position will be located at our corporate office in Chesterfield and the hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
