Bookkeeper/Accountant (Former Employee) – Dickson, TN – October 4, 2016
I enjoyed my job so much I stayed for 15 years. I left only because we moved to Florida. The hardest part of my job was my coworkers drama which I tried to be compassionate about. I enjoyed my job because I knew it well and was able to help coworkers with questions and i was constantly busy.
Customer Service Representative (Current Employee) – Defiance, OH – August 5, 2016
I really enjoy working at First Federal, especially spending my days with my co-workers. The company has decent benefits, but I am part time so I do not qualify for most. Some days are busy and others are slower, just depends on the time of month and day. I have learned a lot about financial regulations and stipulations. The most enjoyable part of the job is the loyal customers that I get to know throughout their transaction. The hardest part is all of the responsibility and knowledge that we are required to obtain, with not sufficient pay.
Very Productive Environment with lots of good management!
Teller (Former Employee) – Rainsville, AL – June 10, 2016
Very great place to work, with great hours with a person with a family. Management was never upset, or turned down an employee who had a question of any type! We had very stressful days, which we all worked together to get the job done, and ALL customers happy, and pleased when they left the bank. We went beyond our measures to make sure every customer was happy with our service!
Loan Representative (Former Employee) – Gurnee, il 60035 – July 12, 2015
I had a range of responsibilities for the bank. Most was mortgage related. I took calls, answered questions regarding payments, interest rates, made payments, I typed up loan payoffs. I loved the work and dealing the customers face to face. My manager was awesome and did not micro manage.
General teller duties include balancing your teller drawer, ATM, Vault, Coin, and Cash Recycler machines daily. I've learned financial issues better and how to handle customer issues on a professional level. Management in the company is good. I get along with all coworkers in and outside of work, which makes the job better. Hardest part of the job is having to deal with disgruntled customers and figuring out what the best thing to do is. Most enjoyable part of the job is being able to help the customer in the long run.
Management was poor due to hard time making decisions
Senior Mortgage Loan Administrator (Former Employee) – Fort Payne, AL – May 8, 2015
No chance for advancement. Pay was poor compared to other institutions for same job title/skills. No pay raises for 4 years or longer. Demanded perfection and hard work but was rewarded with nothing and you were very seldom told whether you were doing a good job or not.
Had a great co-worker as my Senior Loan Officer
Very poor management in the higher up, very poor Board Members that would not do anything to help workers.
