Senior Client Relations Representative (Current Employee), Saint Petersburg, FL – May 21, 2013
FIS is relation based; customer service was required internal and external at 100% satisfaction. Communication was Managements succesful key. Always providing the tools to educate for current position held while having an open door policy with direct upper Management. FIS strived to promote employees; there was never a need to withhold knowledge on – more... any level that desired more responsibilities. FIS sucess is dependent on critical detail, including support attention to their employees and clients.

FIS, Inc
Consumer Service Representative (Current Employee), Milwaukee, WI – May 13, 2013
Pros: extended lunches
Cons: average call handle time requirements
FIS is a well contructed compay wit great work ethics. My typical day consisted of taking calls assisting various clients and customers with accounts and loan processing. The managers were very friendly, and did very well with consructing team work amongst the employees. My co-workers were also very friendly, and we worked very well together. The hardest – more... part of my job was letting the client or customer what could not do for them. The most enjoyable part of my job was going above and beyond. I love to see the customer satisfied. – less

FIS Chandigarh center
Software engineer (Former Employee), Chandigarh – May 8, 2013
Cons: high politics and unprofessional management including hr
FIS chandigarh centre is lead by highly inefficient people who are big players in politics. Starting from hiring the people in FiS,
Top management will decide whom to hire and whom not based on their contacts. After you enter the company, they will not let you survive for long unless you build relations. work is not the criteria to retain people.Promotions, – more... hikes are decided based on your relations with seniors...lots of politics and manipulation being followed..
One day you would be rewarded an award for great job and the other day, they will throw you out due to politics saying your performance was bad. – less

Quite an unprofessional environment
Senior software engineer (Former Employee), Milwaukee WI – May 8, 2013
Pros: nothing
Cons: highly unprofessional people
FIS top management is quite unprofessional.
There is no clear scope of work, multiple hierarchies, lots of politics and unprofessionalism in the company.
Many genuine employees have to resign due to this environment.
Even when the issue is brought to the level of highest management in FiS, they will send an HR enquiry and all the reports are manipulated – more... in favor of management . – less

Good wages, incompetent management
Global Product Support Representative (Former Employee), little rock, ar – May 3, 2013
Pros: wages
Cons: incompetent management
This is a large company that does not care about the workers nor how hard they work. You will be overworked (6 sometimes 7 days a week.) I went 3 months straight without having a full day off. The benefits are subpar. There are no on sight amenities besides a cafeteria that closes at 1:30 each day..although this is a 24/7 facility. Management a not – more... always knowledgeable of certain issues and the employees will be reprimanded for not knowing the information not provided by the management. The only good thing about this company is the wages and paid vacation. – less

A work environment where there is room to grow.
General Services Clerk (Former Employee), Northport, AL – May 1, 2013
Pros: company games and lunches for employee appreciation; monthly charity donations.
Cons: healthcare, inconsistant with dress code rules and sometimes enforcement by supervisors.
Begin work by processing checks for distribution, process information/packets needed by others as needed, help other co-workers when necessary with their duties.

I learned to be patient when having to learn something new, because you can do something if you try hard enough.

Most management was very caring and helpful.

In the beginning my co-workers – more... were young people who had not learned what the true meaning of work was. They liked to play around a lot and text and email friends and family both inside and outside the company causing longer hours of work than necessary.
Thankfully they finally got it together.

The hardest part was learning new system programs.

Most enjoyable was when everyone could get along and interact with respect for each other and share good times. – less

The joy of working in a call center environment
Call Center Representative (Former Employee), Milwaukee, WI – April 9, 2013
Pros: benefits, parking
Cons: hours
A typical day at work is receiving inbound phone calls, verifying customers’ information, and answering various questions concerning their account. I learned that customers can challenge your emotions, but it is my job to keep every situation positive. Managers were understanding, flexible, took job serious. You don't have time to associate with other – more... co-workers due to high volume calls. The most challenging part of the job is the late night hours. I enjoy most talking to customers with a cheerful attitude. – less

No one looks or acts like they want to be on the job at FIS, I have never hears an employee say anthing good about working at the Northport facility
CSR - Consumer (Former Employee), Northport, AL – March 27, 2013
Cons: pay, no encouragement to improve yourself, punished when try to move up, no one happy or smiles at work
They do not hesitate to tell you if you do not like it hit the road they have plenty of other people who can replace you. I must have heard this from the person responsible for training, the call center mgr, the team leaders, HR and anyone else who had any contact with the trainees the first week. Nothing says welcome we want you like telling you they – more... don't have a problem telling you to hit the road before you've even been there a week. Once the finally hired temp's to perm, the new hires started being fired on an average of 4 to 5 weekly - making it within the first the weeks of being a perm. employee less than 10 of the 45 people I started with still remained. They do not follow their own company employee handbook when citing reasons to let people go. The certainly do not follow the scoring system they talk so much about when it comes to retaining people. And they most certainly DO NOT like it when you try to improve yourself and apply for positions outside your dept to improve yourself and make a step up. I tried to keep an open mind about FIS and my job day to day but they made it impossible. – less

horrible place to work - Rivercenter Milwaukee, WI
Supervisor (Former Employee), Milwaukee, WI – March 13, 2013
Cons: everything
This place does not care nor understand that their is a life outside of work. You constantly work mandatory overtime, the hours are horrible, the management could care less about you and the enviornment is utterly depressing. You are not rewarded for good behavior yet they do not strive to correct bad behavior. You are set up to fail. I have never worked – more... for a call center where you DO NOT hear a single call!! The training is horrible, you are used and abused with out any appreciation or additional compensation. They constantly have training classes and less than half make it through the class. Over a dozen people are fired weekly. This place is set up like a jail. You are identified by your "employee number", you are told when you can eat and go to the bathroom, you are not allowed to have paper or writing utensils, you are recorded on camera at all times, having a phone on the floor will earn you an automatic termination, and the list goes on. I have never nor will I ever work for a company like this again. You could break your neck and they would still expect you to go to work the next day or you would get written up. BEWARE OF THIS PLACE!!!!! – less

Not Family Friendly
General Administrative Support Clerk (Former Employee), Saint Petersburg, FL – March 12, 2013
Pros: onsite cafeteria
Cons: health care is expensive.
If you have an emergency in your family or an illness of a child or yourself you can not use your accrued sick time with out being penalized. Management and Co workers have a lack of Discipline and Desire to be at work which makes for a hostile environment. Favoritism with in Management/Employees. Non efficient ways of Q/A.

Company not family orientated. Some employees benefit and others don't
Customer Service Consultant I (Former Employee), Milwaukee, WI – February 5, 2013
has a high turn around rate. Company expects alot from you when working in the call center. expectations and time allowed on phone is limited. I don't feel that if a customer calls back with more questions once you have spoken to them then you did not give them good customer service.
