The Marketing and Business Development Coordinator combines project management excellence, client service, continuous process improvement and teamwork to deliver profitable revenue growth, increased program participation and higher client satisfaction. This position reports to the VP of Marketing and Business Development and works closely with marketing, business development, research, sales and other functions.
1.) Manage and support communication, implementation of projects and programs, new product approvals, opportunity and relationship status tracking with financial services firms in partnership with the National Business Development Manager, who has primary responsibility for the relationship with those firms.
2.) Fulfill external and internal requests for support, information and guidance regarding award program participation, compliance requirements (compliance background not required) and other day-to-day requirements.
3.) Support implementation and ongoing administration of programs, including voice-of-customer projects that are led my marketing managers and other senior marketing team members, program licensing and others.
4.) Manage tactical marketing projects and programs, including basic new product development, communications programs and relationship development initiatives with external firms.
- Develop, communicate, and manage timelines.
- Ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Ensure that deadlines within the project timeline are met.
- Work with Marketing Communications to support project delivery and success.
- Communicate regularly with internal and external project stakeholders.
5.) Measure progress of marketing programs using QuickBooks, MS Excel and Salesforce.
6.) Support marketing leadership in completing tactical and administrative projects.
7.) Measure and report on progress against objectives.
8.) Provide updates to marketing and business leadership.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Undergraduate degree in marketing, business, communications, advertising or related field.
Minimum of three years marketing, project management or related experience.
Experience in financial services or related industry a plus.
Strong critical-thinking and decision-making skills.
Proven project management skills; the ability to manage multiple projects with competing demands for limited resources.
Adept at building internal and external relationships to advance shared goals.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office software. Database and client management software proficiency a plus.
Must be self motivated, results driven and a team player.
