Property Management Company seeks an Assistant Property Manager who will interact with tenants as you handle a variety of management issues, including collections, lease administration and complaints. You will also ensure proper and timely maintenance of the property itself via visual inspections and coordination with the maintenance staff.

Your specific duties will include:

  • Conducting daily visual inspections of property
  • Conducting daily arrear collections, including door knocks
  • Being present during and overseeing the move out and move in process
  • Inspecting all units prior to move-ins and after all move-outs
  • Overseeing maintenance staff
  • Conducting annual unit inspections to ensure compliance with Tax Credit standards
  • Ensuring on-time collection and completion of all annual certifications
  • Response for getting lease renewals signed

As an Assistant Property Manager, you must be reliable and trustworthy, with a strong work ethic and a professional attitude. You must also be highly detail-oriented with solid organizational and prioritization skills and the ability to multitask effectively in a rapidly changing work environment. It is also important that you have excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to be fair but firm in your interactions with tenants while not taking conflict and disagreements personally.

Specific qualifications for the position include:

  • High School diploma OR GED; Some college, preferred
  • Minimum 1-2 years´ experience in the field of property management, including experience with Section 8
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Yardi software experience a plus
  • Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish required
  • Candidate must have a car
