Hours: 12 hour rotating shifts, Day and Night Shift
a. Always follow safety rules, instructions, and procedures.
b. Immediately report all accidents or incidents that could result in an accident to the senior operator, supervisor, or management.
c. Ensure that other employees are complying with “a”.
d. Housekeeping is an important part of safety. Keep your work area clean and free of clutter or other debris that may contribute to a safety accident or incident.
e. When applicable, ensures the safety of food packaging.
a. Responsible for conducting quality control inspection and testing on finished product.
b. Visually inspect product during production for obvious defects such as excessive gels, wrinkles, or creases, winding tensions, seals, print quality, packing instructions, or other characteristics which may cause the product to be unfit for use.
c. Upon completion of a finished roll or case, physically inspect product for dimensions, seals, blocking, treatment, print, winding, weight, packaging and any other specific characteristic noted on the QC sheet or extrusion order.
d. Immediately report all deviations from the product extrusion order to the shift operator or supervisor and note on the QC sheet.
e. The first roll or case and a minimum of one roll or case per layer must be inspected in accordance with “c” above unless otherwise directed by the extrusion order.
f. Responsible for conducting quality control inspection and testing in accordance with items a and b for the neighboring production lines a minimum of three times per shift.

b. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
c. Product should be removed from the winder and labeled and packaged in accordance with the extrusion order immediately after quality control inspection is completed.
d. Completed skids of finished product must be prepared for shipment in accordance with the extrusion order in a timely manner.
e. Prepare the work area for the next shift by ensuring sufficient packaging materials are available for a minimum of one hour worth of production to allow ample time for the next shift to complete their quality checks.
EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 6 months on the job training.
Read, write, comprehend English, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintaining instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to complete reports and forms associated with the position. Ability to communicate effectively, orally, and in writing.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
