Researched restrictive cardiomyopathy (RCM) using a mouse model containing the arginine to histidine missense mutation at position 193 of cardiac troponin I (cTnI). The mouse model cTnI193His has impaired relaxation which can be analyzed via echocardiography through pulse wave Doppler imaging.

Objectives included:
*Determining the mechanism behind – more... disease progression and sudden death as well as investigating some therapeutic options for the treatment of that disease.

I have learned a lot about be a student health assistant. It has a very friendly environment.

I loved working here and reluctantly left due to mandatory student teaching to complete my degree. The staff was excellent, the benefits were great, the hours were great, and working with college students was great. I have searched for another opening since I left. The work is enjoyable but micromanagement is not my style. Unable to complete may tasks because of interference from management. Some policies could change daily or hourly depending on mood.

I prepared and taught weekly lesson plans for 250 undergraduates every week while being a full-time graduate student.

I worked for FAU while young. The exposure to more experienced management who were caring and considerate in bringing me up to speed have set the standard for all management experiences since. The location is fantastic, but the university is a wonderful place to work.

The people were extremely collegial. It is great environment where creative and analytical thinking takes place.

Not a good place to work. Little input from faculty. Poor communication across programs.

This was a wonderful introduction into school psychology and being a researcher. I opted for a slightly different route, however, am still using what I learned to this day.

I loved working at FAU. The students, for the most part, wanted to learn. The administration was very supportive. I wish I could find another job like the job I had at FAU!

I loved the work I did for this company. I learned alot working with the high school students. the job is more about experience than it is pay.

Being an assistant to a graduate student was a learning experience. It can be quite enjoyable.

I volunteered here for two months as a secretary for an associate professor. It was a great learning experience. I did the typical assistant work, filling papers, data entry, emailing, and answering and making phone calls.

Working at a university is great- you are encouraged to take part in university events on campus and interacting with young students keeps your mind fresh.
