Facility Supervisor (Former Employee) –  Boca Raton, FLAugust 20, 2014
Best place to work on campus. Management is very aware that work is not your first priority and will work with you on your schedule. They put a big emphasis on the fact that you are a student first. The pay is not great, but they are really paying you in convenience.

Teaching Assistant (Current Employee) –  Boca Raton, FLJune 30, 2014
As a graduate student, the priceless opportunity to step up to the position of Teaching Assistant is one of the best learning experiences. Finding a balance between work and school can be challenging, but the mindset of being a leader while you fulfill the role of a student brings leadership and confidence. The students are great, the professors are flexible, it is a phenomenal opportunity.

Memory Center Assistant Activity Director (Former Employee) –  Boca Raton, FLJune 1, 2014
Being a volunteer at the Louise and Anne Green Memory Wellness center was a great experience for me. I was exposed to individuals from different backgrounds and culture who had mild dementia. To hear about their past experiences and how they are where they are today place this drive inside me to make a difference in anyway possible. A typical day volunteering includes greeting everyone and offering help to anyone that need to go to the bathroom or simply to have a conversation with them. My co-workers were just energetic and enthusiastic about working with these individuals. There is never a dull moment working with the individuals at the center. The hardest part of the job was probably repeating instructions but after a while you become more patient and understanding which is some skills that one need to acquire to be successful. Our supervisor was always pump up and loving ready to take on the challenges for that day. The most enjoyable aspect of this volunteer position is knowing that your making a difference in someone else's life no matter how small it may seem.

Coordinator of Academic Programs (Current Employee) –  Boca Raton, FLApril 28, 2014
No day is particularly typical as the days are as diverse as the population I served. It is for this reason that you learn to have an extreme level of patience not only for the population you serve but you have to have the same amount of patience for your colleagues as well. Maintaining this patience with colleagues can prove to be one of the most difficult and daunting tasks. However, seeing a student that you have assisted matriculate through graduation is the most enjoyable part of this Job.
Pros
management has the employees best interest in mind.
Cons
management hovers

Outstanding colleagues and Dean of Students
ASSOCIATE VICE PRESIDENT & DEAN OF STUDENTS OFFICE (Current Employee) –  Boca Raton, FLMarch 2, 2014
A typical day involves handling calls from parents, students and /or directors from other departments requesting immediate help for their problems. I might be responding to a student's turmoil over an impending withdrawal from school, an angry, distraught parent, frantic about his/her child, arranging meetings, writing letters, managing students, maintaining calendars; providing direction, counsel, or guidance to any number of visitors to the Dean of Students office. My co-workers are professional, committed and caring to our population. My boss is a charismatic, amazing dedicated Dean who works tirelessly in our department and manages a united team. The hardest part of my job is not being able to help a student because his need may be out of my purview and the most enjoyable part is when a student feels encouraged, motivated or simply acknowledged by my short interaction with him.

devoted staff
