FOCUS Center for Autism provides three opportunities for socialization. Overseen by FOCUS staff, the Social Clubs offer a time to gather to play games, activities and share food together. The CIT/Intern Social Club is for FOCUS individuals who have earned the status of CIT (Counselor in Training) or Intern through their ability to be good role models for the other children of FOCUS. This Social Club meets once a month on a Friday.
The Young Adult Social Club is for older teens and young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorders who may or may not be part of FOCUS. This twice a month activity offers them the opportunity to meet other young adults for socialization and fun.
In conjunction with the Litchfield County Autism Spectrum Association (LACASA), the Teen Social Club occurs once a month on a Saturday. Open to ages 14 to 18, this Social Club again offers individuals the opportunity to interact in a positive social setting. – less–ZoomInfo
