While many good and talented people work at Foley, their true capabilities will likely never be known due to the suffocating and risk averse culture. A family run business, it has grown dramatically in the last few years due to acquisitions. With now over 900 employees, what was likely a strength before (mom and pop style culture) is now a constraint. Forward thinking or leader type employees are more likely to be called on the carpet by the senior executive for driving change than to be commended. This has created a culture of little to no true empowerment and true process improvements are limited to a very few senior folks, ultimately requiring approval always of the senior executive.
Many good people are employed there.
Head in the sand culture.
