A typical day at work included working with several other volunteers to sort out expired food products from the good food products. There were a few stations each used to carry out a specific function. The workplace culture was friendly as the volunteers had conversations resulting in friendships at the end of a shift. What I learned was how much effort was put into stocking canned goods for those who need it. There are criteria such as expiration year, foreign labeling, type of packaging, and form of stocking that go into the whole process.
