Good opportunity for college student
Dining services attendant (Former Employee), Deli and Hotline as well as food preparationJuly 8, 2014
The PSU was a good opportunity for me as a college student to earn some money close to home. Although the management was a little scattered at times, I learned a lot about customer service and working with fellow employees. There was not a lot of room for advancement, but it was a good student job.

Good part time job while attending college
Associate (Former Employee), KetteringJune 5, 2014
Pros: discounted food
Cons: late night close schedules. inability to call off if needed.
A typical day at Panera Bread would consist of me working one of my three certified positions. I was certified in food line, back of house, and the cafe area. I learned how to prepare and make a variety of food items and the ins and outs of a food production company.

I liked the work, but not the system
Cashier (Former Employee), Greer, SCApril 15, 2014
Pros: free lunches
Cons: no family time, very low pay with no overtime pay.
a typical day at work was cleaning, stocking, running register, making subs. The job i enjoyed but there was very poor management. i was the only employee besides the little help of the owners i was always alone. We were a very busy place so there was always a lot of pressure to take care of every person and make them happy. I learned how to be self – more... dependent and how to multi-task very well – less

Fun Place to Work
Server (Current Employee), Syracuse, NYNovember 27, 2013
Pros: people
Cons: not enough shifts
I love working with the Food Services. Even though there is barely any free time because we're always either preparing buffer food, or serving customers, or cleaning something, it is fun. People that I work with are very fun. Most of the people I work with and I serve are around my age, sometimes fun banter gets thrown around.

Management is horrible.
cashier (Former Employee), Pico Rivera, CAOctober 9, 2013
This place closed down due to disrespect and ignorance. The store owner did not understand how to run a fast food business and constantly relied on his $8.00 an hour managers to keep it up for him.

Food service is not for everyone but it teaches you a lot about how to work well with others as well as how to treat and provide service costumers.
