A typical day at work consisted of catering to the needs of our customers. I learned how to operate a cash register, how to multi manage numerous customers at once and some entry level financial obligations and responsibility. Our management was great, responsible and always on top of things. Our co-workers could use a little responsibility boost, but – more...  over all they work great as a team. The hardest part of my job, there was no hard part, it was a responsibility thing. If they felt that you could not handle what you were given as your work related responsibility then they helped you until you could. This was a great place to work with the public. Many customers got to know the cashiers on a personal level. You learned how to be a good listener. A typical day would be providing customer service to the customer as the checked out of you line.

Food Lion Grocery store has many great employees and they also practice a great place to perform a good work enviroment.

Just looking for something where I dont miss church. I dont mind the work just hate missing church.

I enjoyed going to work every day for this company. Constant variations on what you worked on and the people you worked for.

Working at Foodlion was fastpaced and exciting, i appreciated the fact that it was a part-time job, it didnt interfer with my full-time job, but even when i was off, they would give me the opportunity to come in, and get extra hours. I learned how to do WIC, Foodstamps, lottery, returns, voids.

Working at foodlion, feels like I'm working with a big Family, All my co-workers including my Managers are like the Guardian of a Garden and all the customers are the planets. We give our customers the best service you can find. Management is Excellent. My experience with Food Lion was very good. I started as a cashier, and was promoted to office asst., then bookkeeper,and then Customer Service Manager.
