Vehicle Operator, Fort Worth, TX - June 21, 2017
Public Transit comes with many obstacles, such as the type of people you service regularly are usually down and out. You have to deal with smells, rude & drunk people, messes on the bus, routes that consist of very bumpy and unkept roads throughout fort worth, schedules that leave very little time to make connections to other bus routes that make customers mad, verbal assaults and physical assaults daily. Security for the buses is non existent, you are out on the road alone and it will take 20 minutes for anyone to get to you if anything happens, you drive through the most poorest of neighborhoods, you will witness the decay of society through prostitution, drug use, police enforcement for fights, car accidents, and illegal activity daily. There is no support system, if something happens you are expected to go back to work like nothing happened. Supervisors are only there to make sure you are wrote up if you do something wrong I never had an accident and always made my appointed scheduled stops, but it doesn't count for anything. You do not have anybody that has your back, team building is non-existent.
