Job Title: General Manager
Department: Restaurant Operations
Reports To: District Manager
FLSA Status: Exempt

SUMMARY The Villa General Manager is responsible for the daily operations of their assigned store. This includes many important duties such as operations excellence, guest satisfaction, employee relations, financials, etc. The role of the General Manager is vital to the success of the store’s profitability and growth. The following is a guideline/job description that will ensure the success of the General Manager at Villa.

HUMAN RESOURCES
1. Hire, train and maintain “best in class” personnel. Recruit employees to meet staffing needs and upgrade unit performance
2. Motivation of employee to achieve maximum efficiency and effectiveness for quality food service to the customer
3. Weekly scheduling and assignment of duties to employees and co mgt
4. Evaluate performance of employees , including co mgt, and conduct timely performance appraisals
5. Discipline employees who are not meeting company policies and/or standards
6. Responsible for all records and property in the store. Maintain accurate and complete business records on a timely basis
7. Weekly payroll for all employees
8. Ensure compliance with all Federal and State laws and regulations

CLEANLINESS/ SERVICE/ PRODUCT QUALITY
1. Ensure that all quality and health/ safety requirements are met in accordance with federal, state, & local standards as well as company standards
2. Oversee all culinary functions and operations
3. Supervise all employees in every phase of production and guest service
4. Cross train crew members so they are able to perform all necessary store functions
5. Ability to perform all in store duties

UNIT FINANCIAL PERFORMANCE & CONTROLS
1. Responsible for food, labor and other restaurant costs on a day to day basis
2. Participate in the preparation of operating budget. Keep operating costs within the budget while maintaining quality and service standards
3. Responsible for the receipt, safekeeping, daily deposit, disbursement and accountability of all restaurant funds
4. Arrange for all necessary repairs and maintenance so the store and equipment is in good operating condition. Communicate these needs with the District Manager as per spending limit. This includes store cleanliness
5. Place all orders on a daily/weekly basis. Develop and maintain correct stock levels and inventories. Inventory is to be done on a weekly basis. Inspect deliveries for accuracy
6. Daily and monthly P&L responsibility

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
1. Must be 18 yrs of age
2. Must have High School diploma or equivalent
3. Must have reliable transportation to and from work
4. Flexible work schedules (including weekends & holidays)
5. Maintain store cleanliness at all times
6. Write and print legibly
7. Complete tasks in a timely manner
8. Excellent communication as well as people skills with customers, fellow employees, peers, and supervisors
9. Superb supervisory, leadership, management and coaching skills
10. Work closely with District Manager to make sure he/she is informed on day to day operations and any major decision making
11. Plain, review, and obtain approval and pricing on any special promotion/corporate memos. Follow through to ensure all corporate requests are completed
12. Continuous cross training and development, mentoring, and development of staff
