forward air is a very proficient company and very well at what they do. they work very hard and push workers to get trucks out on time with very few mess up. forward air of Jeffersonville was expected not to succeed and is now doing incredibly. i would be proud to recommend this company.

Cons: dot has not shut these guys down.
This place stinks worse then a 5 day old diaper. Unorganized, unprofessional, and no training. Training was a piece of paper that someone checked off things they told you about. Forget about hands on or mastering. Upper management has their pets (like playing video games online after hours) and other areas. Stay away if you are not part of this old boys club. Newcomers are not welcomed. Especially, when you question the ethics or integrity of managements actions. Heaven forbid we be honest to the customer. Owner only cares about his car collection.

Cons: no time for lunch. pay. hrs. no family time
You will not make between 40000 and 60000 more like 30,000yr. Work 3 to 4days a week during non-peak season Jan-Oct. Early start times 2am. Company going to get at least 14hrs a day of work out of youfor a flat day rate.

Cons: but they lie to you
this job was supose to be part time because i need a job to pay for other bills when my company got slow. but it turned into a ful time job. knowing that i told the manage in charge that i need this to be part time. hrs was from 7pm-1am and that was perfect for me. got promoted in 30days and was told my hours would not change but it did. had to start at 4pm to closed. i stayed with them another 13months and worked my details around there schedule. and got promoted again and hrs changed. so i resigned.

A typical work day actually starts in the evening. This company is mostly night driving. That is the hardest part of this job. Adjusting to the night driving schedule. this is a 99% drop and hook outfit. the best part of this job is you make your own schedule and the compensation is second to none. I definately fine tuned my time management here. Late deliveries are frowned upon.

I worked for an air freight forwarder at Dulles in the adjoining building to Forward Air we did many freight pick ups & local deliveries there. Very busy place seemed to be well run considering the amount of freight that flowed through there daily.probably a dozen docks & you were lucky if you found an open 1when you pulled up. Us being their neighbors we had a bit of an IN ! & a bit of preferential treatment but if you don't like fast paced and long hours air freight is not the business or career you should be in. If they weren't in a hurry for it they wouldn't be sending it by air. cant be thin skinned either no around there took sensitivety101 LOL. IAD Rocks!

Pros: the one is i have a job.
Cons: extensive time day's work, not a stable work schedule.
It is a continue burden of boxes, oftenly during 10, 12 and untill 14 hours day's work. I have learned to identify the boxes by their route and store #. Co-worker are fine. The break is the best time.
