Sales Associate (Current Employee), Paramus, NJ – May 14, 2013
I have enjoyed working for Fossil, overall the environment is encouraging for individual growth. Furthermore, the people you work with at this company are not co-workers, they are more team members that you can turn to without question when having difficulty in any task.

Assistant Manager (Former Employee), Woodbridge, VA – April 29, 2013
Pros: everything was awesome about this position
Cons: nothing
Fossil gave me so much in terms of compensation for the tons of hours I worked for long inventories. who can complain about the employee purchase program? no one, its awesome. I wish there was a location where I moved to or I'd have stayed with them.

Sales Associate (Former Employee), aurora il – April 28, 2013
Pros: co-workers
Cons: the pay and hours
I love going to work everyday for fossil I set goals each day for myself to accomplish which made fun with employee competition. I learned to trust your instincts communicate well with people and finish once the customer has bought the item and headed out the door.

Dont work here if you to advance
Sales Associate (Former Employee), Glendale, AZ – April 28, 2013
Pros: 50% discount
Cons: management, no advancement or raises.
Typical day is the same as yesterday. Selling and up-selling the customer. Always having a 'relationship' with a customer, and then being evaluated and tested on how well you did with that customer.
Heres an example: out of the 100+ people you help and have 'relationships' with on a daily basis, you'll be tested to see how well you did on grandma #4, – more... and what she bought and her life story. Thats not good management.
Co-workers feel the same way, constantly forced to be happy to customers, with little pay (minimum wage) with the false hope of an annual raise that only happens once a year (and managers 'forget' to evaluate your performance during this time so you have to wait 12 more months.
Hardest part of the job is dealing with unqualified managers that get $40k a year for doing the same thing you do.
Best part of the job is your co-workers. they're in the same boat as you, and its a sinking one. – less

Cashier (Current Employee), Orlando, FL – April 12, 2013
I would come to work and greeted by the coworkers. I would help the customers with what they are looking for. I am a cashier so I would cash out their material to take for home.

No matter your level, you're considered a person
Merchandise Planner II International Stores (Former Employee), Richardson, TX – April 4, 2013
Pros: work/life balance
Cons: compensation
Fossil had a great value for work/life balance and appreciated each employee as a person. I was there for nearly 10 years and while its a rather large office with 2,000 employees, the CEO knew my name.

I Love Fossil
Key-holder and Handbag Expert (Former Employee), Albany, NY – February 21, 2013
Pros: fossil bucks for great sales
Cons: short breaks for part timers
Working at Fossil was my stepping stone into retail management. As a sales associate, I learned about the authenticity of the product, and also to have passion for the product, which made it easy to sell. The co-workers were a lot of fun. Some conflict with the new store manager at the beginning, but as we got to know each other, things just kept getting – more... better. I was eventually promoted to key-holder and was in charge of visuals. I don't know too much about the benefits and compensation here, as I did not receive health benefits for being part-time, but I can imagine as a full-timer, they are decent. – less

Brigitte – February 18, 2013

The company is a great company, but the people they have in place whether it be inside of the corporate or out in the field, do not know how to treat the people who work for the company with "RESPECT" and that is what it is all about respect.

Comfortable Work Place
Retail Sales (Current Employee), Columbus, OH – February 3, 2013
Pros: 50% discount and very invinting and comfortable work staff
Cons: no health benefits and not a lot of hours
A typical day I would go into worked dressed properly representing the brand and style of Fossil. Clock-In then get chatted in. In the chat in, I am told my goals for the day with ipc, ads, and the number of bags (purses), watches, and jewelry I need to sale that day then go onto the floor and make it happen. I love my management here at Fossil then – more... most of my previous jobs and the co-workers are nice and respectful and it feel like we are all family than co-workers. The hardest part of the job is having to sale to customers on a slow day or after a big holiday becaus most people aren't coming to buy they are coming in to look, and we have to try extra hard to make that sale. The most enjoyable part of the job is seeing all the new product come in and picking out what I plan on buying with that 50% discount. – less

Fun, flexible work environment.
Retail Sales Associate (Current Employee), New York, NY – January 28, 2013
Pros: 15 min breaks
Cons: healthcare
A typical day at work would be a 4-6 hour shift. Working at Fossil in NYC, we deal with a lot of tourists from all over the globe. Working at Fossil has improved my people skills a whole lot! I've also learned a lot about watches and leather goods. I have been part of both the inventory and visuals team and have learned a lot. Management changes quite – more... a bit at my location. My managers are very cool and laid back. They are understanding and easy to work with. My coworkers are the best! The hardest part of my job? There is no hard part. The most enjoyable part is working with customers and matching them with the best product for them! – less

Awesome work environment and great company culture
Sales Associate (Former Employee), Garland, TX – January 22, 2013
Pros: great teamwork, awesome discounts and benefits
Cons: management from the corporate offices exhibit poor communication
Typically, I would start the day by working the sales floor and making sure the stockroom would be organized. I would assist customers and make sure that they felt like they were being welcomed into the store and not just corralled in for an opportunity to make a buck off of them. Considering our poor location in the mall and the poor location of the – more... mall itself, as a team and as individuals we had to work extremely hard to just manage one time sales as opposed to some other locations in more popular malls. However, the people were generally great and responded to our aggressive sales tactics better than I thought they would. Beyond sales, I still have lasting friendships with many of the associates that I worked with. My store manager and another associate ended up being two of my closest friends. Great place to work although pay isn't amazing. However, it is retail. – less
