If one is interested in the advertising sales track, then this is a good starting point. Most of the assistants are fresh out of college, creating a fun work culture. Lots of social perks involved, pertaining to lunches and drinks with clients that assistants are involved in.
Upfront season (May, June, July, August) tends to demand longer hours, which is nice for assistants who work hourly and make double in overtime. Aside from the social aspect, the job itself is very bland. You spend your day modifying deals in a system, which becomes very tedious. Internal systems are in desperate need of an update to make work more efficient.
