Our client, a Raleigh area pharmaceutical firm in high-growth mode, is actively recruiting for a highly seasoned, skilled and knowledgeable Meeting Planning professional to assume leadership role on it Meetings Management team.

This Senior Manager/ Associate Director (client is open to both levels) will supervise a team of Meeting Planners who are responsible for delivering first-class programs to its high expectations audience. Seek an industry leader who can independently and impressively lead this charge. Company will pay excellent wage (including generous base, bonus and stock) to attract and retain a star candidate.

Important things to note:

 Vendor Management - Company relies heavily on third party vendors to execute most meetings. Seeking candidate who is accustomed to an outsourced model and brings savvy skill set that ensures that vendors understand and execute meeting strategies as planned.

 People Management - Company employ a top-notch meeting planning team. Seek experienced supervisor who sets an example of excellence, trains, mentors and guides and, finally, rolls up her/his sleeves when unexpected overload occurs.

 High-end Pharma Sales Meetings – This Mgr/AD will report to the VP Sales and will be responsible for ensuring that all business meetings (POA meetings, training sessions, National Sales Meetings, Investigator Meetings, etc.) are delivered with both style and impeccable attention to detail. This is an extremely challenging undertaking. The right candidate will understand the standard of excellence expected and will bring the resources, knowledge and project management skill that are essential to success.

Must have’s include:
 Impressive track record of Meetings Management leadership
 Only those in full-time meeting planning roles (agency or corporate) will be considered
 Vendor management is essential
 Meetings of 500+ required
 Substantial experience managing professional staff
 Pharma industry knowledge including understanding Sunshine Act, Aggregate Spend requirements
 Keen business savvy including demonstrated ability to negotiate smart contracts with smart vendors as well as ability to plan, monitor and control budgets and costs.

Travel is estimated at 10% and will involve several week-long out of state trips. Overtime and off-hours work is expected.
