This company is an energy efficiency company that is expanding very rapidly. There is a lot of promotion from within the company which allows for a lot of opportunity to move around and try new positions.
The Project specialist position is a higher level of the Project Coordinator position at this company. The responsibilities include: Review all files/data entry information for each project. Sending and assuring each project is reviewed by the appropriate people before it is submitted to Consumers Energy to claim the energy savings and request funds for payment. Handle all invoicing to Consumers Energy, handle all stale checks and request stop pay/reissue for checks that have not been cashed. This position handles all of the reporting to the Client using Excel spreadsheets and PowerPoint. This position requires someone that is very good at multitasking, who also has excellent customer service and communication skills to be able to answer questions from the Energy Advisors, contractors and customers calling in for a status of their rebate checks and program offerings.
This positon also requires analytical skills and problem solving due to the database that is being used can sometimes throw errors that need to be researched and resolved with little or no help from anyone. The project specialist is the expert on the Salesforce system, addressing errors and testing new changes to the system to make sure changes will be seamless when changes are moved to the production site.
This position has definitely expanded my skills with Excel with the use of pivot tables, formulas, filtering data, and v-lookups. I really enjoy the variety in the work that I do, and the flexibility with my schedule.
