General: Friends In Need Healthcare Center, Inc. (FIN) is a charitable corporation that provides primary-care and dental service to low-income, working uninsured and their adult family members. FIN gets its support from a wide range of private and public sources, including government and charitable grants, reduced cost goods and services from other local medical and dental service providers, and from individual and corporate gifts. A staff of both paid and volunteer medical and dental professionals provides FIN's services. FIN's work is also assisted by many other community volunteers, including a Board of Directors, to whom the ED reports. The primary service area of FIN is Sullivan and Hawkins Counties (TN) and Scott County VA.
Qualifications: Candidates for this position must have a minimum of a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and have relevant experience and a record of accomplishment in at least some of the following areas: healthcare administration, organizational management, community relations and fundraising. Candidates should have excellent speaking, writing and interpersonal skills, should demonstrate a high level of energy and enthusiasm and be a strong motivator and effective manager of both people and financial resources. Candidates should have strong computer skills and be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Compensation: Salary is in the range of $50,000 per year. There is allowance for vacation time, sick leave and personal leave. No healthcare benefits are provided.

Condensed Position Description:
Reports to the President of the Board of Directors; supports the Board in carrying out approved policies of the Board and keeps the Board fully and timely apprised of operational and financial developments.
Serves as the chief administrative officer of the health center, responsible for the overall management of its facilities, personnel, resources, services and programs.
Supervises and collaborates with the Operations Manager, Medical Director and Dental Director to ensure smooth clinical operations including availability of adequate, trained staff.
Responsible for hiring of paid staff and for recruitment of volunteers.
In concert with the Medical and Dental Directors, ensures compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and good practices.
Leads, coordinates and maintains robust relationships with local hospitals, dental and medical practitioners, colleges and universities and other community organizations to ensure FIN's mission, programs, financial needs and volunteer needs are known and supported. Is the "face" of FIN in NE TN and SW VA.
Leads fundraising efforts through timely submission of grant applications, development and maintenance of public and private donor relationships, and new fundraising initiatives.
Works with the Board in the recruitment and active involvement of a robust structure of community volunteers to support the work of FIN administratively and medically.
