Pros: flexible, enjoyed working with others, interesting
Cons: not really doing any typing
I was volunteering in Luton Town Centre twice a week for 5 months in 1999. I dealt with mail, photocopied information packs and posted them to customers, filing in numeric order and topic order. I enjoyed my time working with NVQ Level 2 Administration students. I had learn't to search and retrieve data using the companies own in-house software package – more... and learned how to frank post. – less

Pros: being aloud to get up to make a drink whenever we wanted.
Cons: long hours with not enough lunch time
My colleagues at Friends of the Earth were fantastic, they were there when help was needed and guided me further to help me achieve new objectives. The reason why quitting is because the pay was poorly.

A typical day at work would be post handling and cheque handling, also storing new contacts onto CARE (our database) and updating existing contacts.
The – more... hardest part of the job for me was workloads, where we have deadlines for each of our campaign, whereas once we had 5,000 bee campaign postcards to browse and check. – less
