The pace varies, chronic vs acute. Interesting to see different patient population and setting. Less acute but increase workload, the resources varies with hospital. I learned to slow pace and nevertheless keep moving. Management and staffing shortage is all too common and increases workload. The work culture is the one with little change with the patients as residents. The hardest part is taking changes for granted and when a colleague misses to recognize in condition of elderly. I enjoy the gratefulness and friendliness of the elderly population.

I work at Friendship Village in a interim position, however I found the staff to be supportive and positive. I was working with a Director who was transitioning out of his position during my employment there, so we had very little communication. I mainly worked alone and managed the office as instructed with very little guidance. The work environment was very clean and spacious, the residents and the facility was maintained well.
Spacious office, no micro-management, discounted lunch
Lacked direction and communication from upper management
