Productive workplace with a team player enviroment
Delivery Driver (Former Employee), Decatur, GA – May 7, 2013
Pros: working independently
Cons: commission / no benefits
A typical day at work for me starts out loading merchandise and planning my route. I have learned that road safety plays a key role when delivering heavy loads being able to have control over how your truck is loaded and merchandise is position aids in having control of your vehicle by judging your speed, turns and stops. As far as my manager he rely – more... on me to get the merchandise to its delivery location safely. My co-worker / navigator is awesome we have GPS, But I was fortunate to be paired up with someone who really know streets and highways. The scenic route is ok sometime which GPS is good at but knowing alternate routes and avoiding traffic is better for me. The hardest part of my job is driving long distances and still have to share of unloading the truck. Being the only driver traveling for a long time when you reach your destination it becomes hard to unload 50 to 60lbs of weight consistenly. And the most enjoyable part of my job was finally reaching a point of confidence knowing how to perform my job correctly and returning home – less

My duties at Frontier included supporting the field techs in establishing new circuits for cell towers and other areas. Support included managing material, processing the work orders, project management. The hardest part of my job was trying to meet due dates that were set unrealisticly or always changing. I enjoyed my job due to the day to day challanges.

This was a good job with great pay and benefits....
NOC Technician / Central Office Tech (Former Employee), Huntington, WV – April 18, 2012
This was a good job with great pay and benefits, it was also my first telecommunications job at home after 16-18 years on the road. While at this company my daily duties would include using programs such as MetaSolve (M-6), REACT, VariNet (V-Repair) to test circuits, loop CSU, Test T-1, test head to head with site Tech, and/or create trouble tickets – more... for most major cell and landline carriers. I learned numerious things that I feel is going to be invaluable to me in the field, to give me a better idea as to what the Tech is doing and seeing at the switch, and that spells efficiency and that equals...you get the picture. The management staff was made up of a group of very talented, skilled, and intelligent telecom professionals and I must say the same for the rest of the staff as well, they were all very helpful. The hardest part of this job was learning all the new software, and at the same time I would have to say it was one of the things that made me like doing it too, because it was a new challenge to me. – less
