They don't warn you about training
Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) –  Vienna, VADecember 6, 2017
Once you get hired you think you're good to go! Nope! Training class is super stressful. You are tested everyday on what you learned the day prior. If you fail you get fired. The test are not extremely hard but you pretty much spend your evening after work studying for a test the next day. The test on the system coding was the hardest to grasp in ONE DAY! There are so many codes to learn and memorize and it's not fair that they expect you to memorize them all and you get fired if you don't. I'm sure they give you tools once you're on the floor for coding so I'm not sure why the test determines if you stay at the job. I left my full time job for front point only to get fired during training because I could not pass the test on coding. It was not fair and it cause my life to go in a downward spiral. Job loss is never easy but considering they say they saw something in me...and I passed every other test on top of having to study every night wiith a life at home....it was STRESSFUL. I wouldn't recommend this job to anyone who has a life or things to lose outside of that job. It's not worth it!

No regard for employee satisfaction
Customer Service Specialist (Former Employee) –  McLean, VADecember 5, 2017
The company culture has radically changed in the past 4-5 years. Unfortunately it no longer has the fun start up culture vibe it once had. It is currently in the process of becoming a more corporate driven and heartlessly run company by externally hired management and department heads. The entire support and sales department overall morale is at an all time low. Turn over at an all time high.

Career Development is non existent for most employees. Compensation is very low for the type of work you do, especially for entry level employees. You can paid more for the type of work that you would be doing at this company, elsewhere. The HR department is disorganized and extremely uninvested in improving employee satisfaction.

This company tends to perpetuate a lot of empty promises to their employees.
Pros
Nice coworkers, Casual Dress Code, Decent Healthcare, Paid Training
Cons
Terrible Hours, Poor Management, Poor Development of Employees, Terrible Compensation, CEO is not engaged with the well being of employees

your typical dead end job, where the business is run by sales department
Supply Chain Technician (Former Employee) –  Tysons Corner, VANovember 15, 2017
It's your typical dead end job. No room for growth, though they'll tell you there is. They fire sales people in a snap. Supply chain is a great job for someone who is going to school part time. And of course everyone likes to micro manage.

Misleading Environment - Do not recommend
Member (Former Employee) –  Vienna, VANovember 7, 2017
The careers page and the internal recruiting department sell you a grand story about Frontpoint's culture. However, once you start you realize all those stories are just stories of their glory days in the past. The organization has a lot of good people, but the Leadership is ineffective and immature. If you don't fit in, they will remove entire departments. Its happened to layers in the Care team and Sales team. They have also removed the entire Marketing and HR teams. Not a great place to work.
Pros

Cons
Leadership and everything else

Not my cup of tea
Customer Service Specialist (Former Employee) –  Tysons Corner, VANovember 4, 2017
Long grueling hours on the phone setting up DIY home security systems with clients over the phone, troubleshooting any issues within the system. Often rude and frustrated customers.
** I do want to say that if you are great a troubleshooting and love fixing problems within a system to customers satisfaction, this job is a great fit! It just wasn't my cup of tea**
Pros

Management working against your goals to achieve own agenda
Confidential (Former Employee) –  Vienna, VAOctober 31, 2017
Consistently saw people let go and blamed for circumstances outside of their control. If management tried something new or lost track of something, inevitably someone else ended up taking the fall when higher level managers looked for answers.

A lot has changed
Senior Customer Service Representative (Current Employee) –  Vienna, VAJuly 27, 2017
when i joined this company i loved pretty much everything about it. Now it has changed management, and significant changes to day to day workload have taken effect. Scheduled breaks, lunches, and about half of the support floor has quit along with a decent quantity of upper management due to the stress of the day to day.

The morale at Frontpoint was great. Management was involved in having a great time during the work day with the staff and during company events. There was a intense training program you had to pass before really starting the job. Once you pass you get set up with a mentor afterwards that helps continue with your training. They are there for you when you need them. If the job had been something I wanted to move up in and make a career out of I would have stayed for sure!

Fun place to work if you are coachable.
Sales Consultant (Current Employee) –  Vienna, VAMay 26, 2017
Typical day at work consist of warm leads requesting information and closing over the phone sales.
I learned how to overcome objections and give a solution. The workplace can be really fun, the hardest part of job is maintaining momentum and keeping a calm but high energy for customers everyday. The most enjoyable part of the job is the check...when its good.
Pros
no dress code, commission and salary, good pay.
Cons
worklife balance, constant changes to structure, High turnover.

Frontpoint is an excellent company that provides a very competitive sales environment with the ability to be generously compensated. However with recent changes in senior leadership and direction the culture there leaves much to be desired
Pros
Comission is generous and there are many company planned events.
Cons
Culture isn't what it used to be and changes are frequent and wide ranging
