Their Motto was "pass the buck" and "pass the blame"
Administrative Assistant - Campus Recruiting (Former Employee) –  New York, NYFebruary 7, 2017
XXXX wasn't happy with the job and her supervisors knew it and made it worse for. The position was not easy to keep filled and it was mutual when XXXXX left. She is the type of employee that needs to understand the project start to finish, and giving her just pieces of puzzles and not the full scope had a tendency for frustration.

Certain management had no problem making their opinions known load and clear and while trying to make worker feel inadequate, useless and stupid, it generally turned out management of the group I was in. Guess people at the top can't talk to their subordinates and wind up ordering 4,000 extra items.
Pros
Traveled a little.
Cons
Bosses traveled a lot

FTI Consulting is one of the best consulting firms I have seen in terms of culture and work experience. Everyone at the firm is personable and wants you to advance your career.

Management issues
Consultant (Current Employee) –  Washington, DCJanuary 10, 2017
a typical work day would consist of about 3 people actually doing work and the rest of the company pretending like they were. instead of listening to everyone's worries they ignore them. Its the responsibility of the directors and managers to find work and new opportunities. Instead of punishing the higher ups who are responsible they cut the people actually doing the work. More guidance and direction is needed in that company.
Pros
free lunches
Cons
no drive

Summary
Senior Director (Current Employee) –  Washington City, DCJanuary 8, 2017
Challenging and demanding work resulting in long hours at times. Good compensation and potential for raises as your bosses see fit. Company as a whole not very unified - each groups operates independently of one another and little overlap across groups. Not particularly a fun culture.

Document Review Attorney (Former Employee) –  Miami, FLJanuary 2, 2017
The company offers bonus, extended hours and training. Flexible hours. Management could be better, but pleasant place to work overall.

Great coworkers
Solution Architect (Current Employee) –  Houston, TXDecember 27, 2016
I have great coworkers but the work life balance is something to be desired. Also, the advancement opportunities are non-existent. The teams tend to be spread out all over the country and it is difficult to have meaningful conversations with your peers.

Great, but you must learn to live with uncertainty
Director (Former Employee) –  Houston, TXDecember 8, 2016
FTI was once known for a great culture, supportive, and strongly encouraging of a work life balance.

Over the last 10 years this has slowly changed. Layoffs happen approximately once a year. Sometimes a few, other times entire offices. Uncertainty has become the hallmark of working for FTI.

Success is often not recognized, and most feel like they are not important and could be let go.
Pros
Flexible work schedule as long as the work is done
Cons
Contant uncertainty

Healthcare Consultant (Former Employee) –  New York, NYOctober 27, 2016
Typical 4 day work week @ client site. Acute care hospitals utilized services for cash acceleration, workflow enhancement, or technology optimizations. Directors push consultants to take ownership of deliverables while instilling a sense of trust in their individual approach.

Very Serious Company with very little friendly interaction between employees
Executive Assistant II (Former Employee) –  Los Angeles, CAAugust 28, 2016
A typical workday involved me supporting a total of 12 people, which at sometime became a little overwhelming at times. Management never really made an attempt to eve out the workload between myself and other EA's. I dealt with a manager that was based most of the time in San Francisco so it was her for her to actually see my hard work.
Pros
Very Flexible with vacation/PTO request
Cons
Uneven workloads and Unreasonable deadlines

Everything you would expect a consulting company to be. Decent pay, little diversity or creativity. I wasn't there long enough to paint a better picture of how the company was

EDiscovery Consultant (Current Employee) –  Miami, FLJuly 6, 2016
A typical work day involves checking company emails to ascertain whether there were any updates to the underlying protocol on which the work assignment is based. Review each document for and tag according to protocol guidelines of relevancy, specific issues, privilege, etc.
Pros
Free sodas and cheap snacks
Cons

A very good work environment that allowed my skills and experience to be used successfully.
Technical Support Engineer (Former Employee) –  Chicago, ILApril 14, 2016
A typical day at work involved a fast paced interaction with the staff resolving technical issues.
I learned a great deal about the nature of forensic accounting and corporate legal responsibilities.
The management of the company is very focused on the stated goals with an emphasis on the individuals involved in the realization of them.
I enjoyed the work environment with my coworkers who provided additional input.
Integrating the infrastructure modifications initiated by the IT Group.
The most enjoyable part of the job is providing a resource for technical support.
Pros
Strong employee/staff inclusion
Cons
Difficulty moving from a contractor position to a regular employee state.

Productive environment; fast paced, challenging
Director, Computer Forensics San Francisco (Former Employee) –  San Francisco, CAFebruary 1, 2016
Work life balance was poor and travel was required although not as much after development of local contracts/projects progressed. No assistance provided with training at all. Employee turn-over in late 2015 began to climb. Opportunities for advancement did exist. Management was inconsistent with some support and other times leaving employees adrift with no feedback. Management pays close attention to the bottom line and business development is priority number one.
Pros
high responsibility, freedom from micro-management
Cons
work life balance and training was neglected in favor of paying projects
