I would have the owner come in and evaluate my managers than the staff.you stuff always roll down the hill!
If I were in charge, they would have gotten rid of the problem employees a year ago instead of continuing to allow them to destroy a promising business. From Finance to Service, there were managers that needed to be let go. Not to mention other distractions by employees in BDC that undermined the overall moral of all the employees there and, enforced the ideal that their contributions were worthless unless they were willing to participate in less then professional relationships with upper management. When an employee volunteers information that they are sending unprofessional photos of themselves to upper management as well as gifts while at work they need to be let go. The Service department needs to be fine tuned as well, there are employees that should not have been allowed to return after the way they have treated customers, and their performance has not improved since then. Also, leaving employees in the dark as to the real intentions for this dealership which are clearly to close it when the lease is up is downright nasty. If they had been more honest and allowed employees to make the decision to stay for the experience knowing this was not going to be an actual career opportunity and this location offered no longevity with the company, they probably would have been much happier overall. When you expect your employees to be honest while you lie to them, you get exactly what you deserve. It's a real shame, this company had a lot of promise. It's sad to see another business fail in this location. If they had cleaned house from the beginning instead of keeping the same management that helped the last dealership fail, they really could have had a chance here.
