Greet customers, listen to their need, help them make a purchase selection that is best for them, check availability of product, take payment for purchase, apply for finance if that's the route they want to go, schedule delivery of furniture, and do a check back for customer service to make sure all went well and they are happy and satisfied.
Love that customer...they are the most important person there, listen to them, make suggestions, sell the add-ons.
The hardest part of the job for me was being there every weekend. It's not that you CAN'T take a weekend off, but that is the meat and potatoes of your paycheck.
The most enjoyable part of the job was seeing the customer happy and ask for you again the next time they come in to purchase. Remember, you are commission only and they have many other placed to purchase from.
