I would arrive 30 min early. talk to management about night before, and plans for the day. Check scorecards and reports. Depending on when I started I would count the tills and open the store, or go over morning reports and make sure things are good. Assign myself a till, and join the rest at the front desk. Help the customers. do returns, look ups, – more...  deal with customer units and Paper work. \

I was there as a seasonal employee. I enjoyed working with the staff and in the store.

I learned alot more about the products I was dealing with, management was excellent they kept everyone in line. My co-workers were fun and talkative.

Product experts need to keep themselves up-to-date by learning new technology, new products in the market and also knowing the other competitors' products. Knoeledge is the success key that helps to close the deal. I have learned many information about hardware, software and technical issues as well. The typical day at work was basically based on staff to customer interaction which made the day go by faster having customers and something to arrange or fix at all times. There was always something to do at the job place where it kept most employees up to date when it comes to their department due to enough product knowledge that was available by just – more...  arranging and handling the product. The job taught me how to interact with customers on a first name basis, as well as fix conflicts and problems that customers have with their purchase. Future Shop provides a fast pace high energy environment with great earning potential. That being said be clear that performance management is a large part of their culture. Expect that they will continue to meet with you regularly to discuss you progress no matter how well you feel you are doing. Future Shop tends to employ a younger staff which definitely brings and energy to the store but can also makes way for a lack of maturity that is required to effectively run a business. – less

its going be a hourly job here very soon as its getting to be a dead end job

Depending on what you do for the company, and how much work you cover for the managers, it can be a good place to work.

great place to get sales experience, still using commission model but does not seem like it will be there much longer.
