This was a great experience at GK services. There were a few things that could have been improved. Like, the favortism and the lack of disipline that was not given but for the most part the work was there and so was the hrs.

Great group of employees and customer base.
Route/Service Manager (Former Employee) –  RomulusAugust 19, 2015
All the Route Sales Reps are first class employees. Being a branch, the atmosphere is that of a small business, but with the backing of a major corporation. Customer Service is what they are all about. They are not only servicing customers, but developed a partnership with them. Typical day as a manager involves coaching and helping the Reps grow their routes. As well as building relationships with new and existing customers through on site visits and phone conversations.

G&K: One of the Best Places to Work!
Executive Assistant (Former Employee) –  Minnetonka, MNDecember 2, 2015
I 100% loved working for G&K Services. The variety of work I did from API Letters to supporting all National Account Executives made my time there most enjoyable.

Group Lead (Current Employee) –  St cloud, MNAugust 3, 2015
Employees all get along good, management has some different ideas than the people that do the job every day. Job is very physical on your body. Productivity is a big thing and all about numbers and quotas. Not a whole lot for advancement in production areas.
Pros
stars of excellence meal once a month for good attendance
Cons
very hot in summer, not much for good communication amongst management and emplyees

Office (Former Employee) –  Graham, NCOctober 7, 2015
Too many turn around in service management and GMs. No proper training. Things were thrown at you last minute to complete with NO help. Vacation & PTO sucks... Not enough time given for sick days.

Stay away.. They don't want changes. The management team is happy with being in the middle. They sit in the office waiting for the end of the day

Present Route Sales Representative (Former Employee) –  Minneapolis, MNJune 21, 2015
I have appreciated being able to work on my own to grow my business and to work with customers directly on business/ contract issues. My management works well to guide, oversee, and help support me in managing my business.

Overall Good Company
District Sales Manager (Current Employee) –  Graham, NCMay 28, 2015
The executive leadership is very good and they have a clearly defined vision for the company. They have excellent benefits and the compensation is fair for the work being done. Many people may not be cut out for this industry as it is very blue collar and if you want big offices and marble floors this is not the place.

Management needs better qualified candidates
Territory Sales Representative (Former Employee) –  Houston, TXApril 8, 2015
Management lacks communication as well as leadership on a local level. Upper management should focus on hiring skilled/qualified managers with a proven track record in regards to leading a team. Work life balance is not a priority here, the sales and service departments act as though there's competition and lack cohesiveness! G&K is a great company for an intro into new B2B Sales, NOT for a seasoned Vet in the sales industry! All in all I would recommend them to a new college graduate.
