A day in the life at work
Site Supervisor (Current Employee), Cedar Rapids, IADecember 4, 2014
I have been with this company for a long time. There are some changes that I had to get used to but for the most part, it's a good company.

I have learned so many things working at this company that there isn't enough space. I've learned to do so many different aspects of work.

My co-workers are great! We really have each other's backs.

The hardest part of this job is being thorough and knowing what the client wants. Security is a changing job and sometimes it's hard to keep up with it.

The most enjoyable part of this job is the people. Not just the co-workers but the client employees too.

A good to work
Security Supervisor (Current Employee), Fort Lauderdale, FLDecember 2, 2014
Pros: everyday is a good day.
Cons: not enough benifits.
Our everyday priority is to make sure the job comes first.
I have learned that always making sure safety is first.
Being able to make hours become money for others, working on schedules and making sure every security officer have their 40 hours.

Bad place to work unless you have no life...
Custom Protection Officer (Former Employee), Aurora, CONovember 28, 2014
Pros: wage
Cons: everything else
I worked 60 hours a week with a very good wage and lousy benefits... The management did not care about the employees as long as the work got done half-assed... They tended to keep the thieves and liers and fire the good offices who cared about the job. When you did not agree with their actions, my hours were cut from 60 per week to 28 hours per week with no real explanation and when someone told lies about me, they were not investigated, and I was fired,,, NOT A GOOD PLACE TO WORK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Security Officer (Full-time) (Current Employee), Lansing, MINovember 24, 2014
Pros: none.
Cons: everything.
The worst job I have ever had. I have not seen a company that has worse management and organizational skills. Do not apply at G4S it is not worth the headache and the waste of your life!

Nothing special
Site Supervisor (Current Employee), memphis TNNovember 7, 2014
I learned from out of experience how to do my job as a Site Supervisor. I am a fast learner, I am not afraid to ask how to improve or improve it all on my own.

I have the supervision over 32 officers, all good people.
Not afraid to correct them in their performance.

The hardest part of the job is the frequent call offs from officers.

The most enjoyable part is working with so many different personalities.

Working with G4S has been an experience. The job is sometimes challenging and some days it is the easiest thing to do. Mostly management is the hussle, not the client. Overall, it is definately not a bad job or company to work for.

A typical work day is always busy. There have been some challenges and much I have learned. I have learned to work as a Supervisor and not get so caught up with trying to be an away from work friend. This job has has humbled me. The most enjoyable thing about this job is challenging myself to be better and to do better.
