I interviewed in Melbourne, FL to work in the hospital. The interviewer was nice and straight forward. It seemed that if your background or driving record had a felony you did not qualify. We were also told that we have to be available basically 24hrs day and night shift. She also asked everyone if your comfortable with heights because you will have walk the roof and secure the roof for the helicopter. Also if your comfortable working around dead bodies because it might come a time where you have to guard the morge or even take a wedding ring off the finger of a loved one. When you do get your 1 on 1 time with the interviewer your asked about your previous jobs and why you left. Then your asked a few other questions. And if you do have your license already you still have to attend the class and you get reimbursed after completion of the 40hr class. If your applying in Melbourne, Fl you do have to travel to Orlando to complete the class.
I waited 30 seconds for my interview, was immediately brought back by the hiring manager, he took one look at my resume. Told me they don't get people like me often and I was hired.
It was fast

They will fill you full of false information about advancement and working with you on hours, internal promotions and all that just to get you in the door. None of it is true.
Show up on time for your interview, but don't expect to be seen for a couple hours even if you're the only one there in the office. You will be asked questions about your prior job and reason for leaving, what hobbies you have, if you smoke or drink, about tattoos, about your driving record, your willingness to shoot a firearm if put in that position, and about prior security experience. After all of the questions the interviewer will tell you about the benefits the company offers and give you an offer of employment. You must bring in your security licenses, high school diploma, discharge forms, driver license, degrees or transcripts, and a copy of your resume.
What interview? I was hired solely off my application. I didn't speak to one person until I showed up for new hire orientation.
