I interviewed with these people after some time of not getting hired and being told that "if you have ever been fired or let go from any job, you will not have a good chance of being hired here." Anyway, after some time passed by and G4S apparently changed their policy, which was about a year's time from when I first met with them, they brought me in and offered me a unionzed, unarmed job at a local site, this was supposed to be one of their "better" jobs at $10 an hour. I was told by the hiring manager that the hours could be erratic, although I explained I could not do all overnights. I get to the site and there are all these whining employees around who hate their jobs, tell me not to trust anyone or "blow anyone in" or it would only get harder for me, but wait, I just got here! The work site people met with me and said I have to take all overnights because I am starting out at the bottom, so this directly contradicted what I was told in the G4S office, or it was never explained that the schedule would be something I would not accept. The union was some unknown organization I never heard of and was noted to be "weak" by other employees. Before I got to the work site, the training was minimum wage, so if that does not turn you off, something else will. Stay away, far away! It is true that most security contractors are all the same, this one, if you last a month, you are lucky. Not a good place to work, terrible culture.
