Safety in General Motors number one goal. Providing quality products in a safe inviroment is what they strive for. General Motors has been a wonderful place to work for the last 5 years through contract employers such as Ryder Logistics and Hss/ Valuepoint LLC.

If you like putting out fires GM is the place to be
Production Supervisor (Current Employee) –  Flint, MIApril 22, 2016
At GM it is impossible to do my job which is to handle week to week operations. You're a firefighter running around all day solving issues. You're constantly being berated by the staff for what is going on even if the issue is not your fault.
Pros
Compensation
Cons
Lack of leadership from upper level managment

Production Worker (Current Employee) –  Fairfax, KSApril 21, 2016
Being a "Temp" employee is like being the person at the dog park picking up the dog messes. People have been "Temps" for over 3 years now. GM is getting away from following the contract and the Union is allowing them to keep everyone a "Temp!"

Maintenance Group Leader (Current Employee) –  Flint, MIApril 18, 2016
Job gets boring after awhile and upper management has their favorites. So far from what I see, they shuffle the quality personal around to fix the mistakes that others have made.

Electrical Engineer (contract) (Former Employee) –  Tonawanda, NYApril 15, 2016
The work load was never ending. Taking over for another engineer, cleaning up existing projects were exciting and overwhelming. I was given free range over my projects and had the opportunity to further other initiatives.

Voice of the Customer Specialist (Former Employee) –  Warren, MIApril 4, 2016
Working at the General Motors Tech Center in Warren was a great experience. I loved my employers, along with my co-workers. I left because there was not a lot of opportunity for growth in my field.
