About Galileo Learning
Galileo Learning's mission is to provide opportunities for young people to discover and pursue their passions, and to nurture the careers of current and aspiring educators. Through summer enrichment programming for kids from pre-kindergarten through 8th grades, Galileo helps kids explore and gain skills in subject areas they are passionate about. We – more... encourage kids to imagine new things and equip them with the skills to turn those ideas into reality. We call this "Growing Up Galileo".
Galileo Learning (formerly Galileo Educational Services) began in 2002, when founder Glen Tripp opened the first Camp Galileo in Palo Alto. At a time when educational institutions were starting to emphasize test scores and limit creativity, Galileo was established as a place for kids to embrace their creative sides. Working with premier organizations such as The Tech Museum of Innovation, the de Young Museum and Klutz, Galileo has developed unique summer programs that now influence the lives of thousands of children and hundreds of educators in more than 20 communities throughout the Bay Area. While our different programs offer unique features, the common denominators are excellent curriculum delivered by energetic professionals in a fun environment.
Our home office is located in Oakland, Calif., where an experienced team works year-round to provide our local Camp Directors with the tools they need to run safe, fun and educationally meaningful programs in the communities we serve. Our Program Directors and their staff members then inject each camp with their own unique flavor and creativity. – less – More from ZoomInfo »
