Job Description

SUMMARY
Supports Distributor with IT related issues.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Diagnoses hardware and software problems (includes Pocket PC, Desktop, Laptop, and iOS devices).
  • Provides support and technical issue resolution via E-mail, phone, and other electronic medium.
  • Educates management and sales force on new developments concerning relevant computer hardware and software.
  • Utilizes IT Support Request system to document, prioritize, and track requests.
  • Installs and configures new computers and telephones.
  • Repairs PCs and upgrades hardware and software.
  • Troubleshoots printers, scanners, and copiers.
  • Maintains inventory of equipment and supplies (cables, adapters, etc.).
  • Installs cables.
  • Researches, learns, and evaluates new software.
  • Creates and updates documentation for company systems (e.g. work instructions, manuals, etc.).
  • Assists with the creation of network accounts, changes passwords, account access, folder directory rights, and profile management.
  • Manages mobile accounts for handheld devices.
  • Practices safe work and driving habits and, if accountable for others, ensures their understanding and compliance of such habits.
  • Maintains satisfactory attendance, to include timeliness.
  • Responsible for understanding and complying with applicable quality, environmental and safety regulatory considerations. If accountable for the work of others, responsible for ensuring their understanding and compliance.

QUALIFICATIONS

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 3 years of computer systems experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft, Apple OS, and Office Suite Applications.
  • Experienced in reading and comprehending simple instructions, correspondence, and memos.
  • Experienced in writing simple correspondence and procedures.
  • Skilled in adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science.
  • Advanced knowledge of computer hardware and software.
  • Comfortable with handling many types of projects at one time.
  • Demonstrated skill to systematically troubleshoot complex problems.
  • Demonstrated leadership aptitude.
  • Demonstrated skill to work independently and with minimal supervision.
  • Good communication skills.
