A typical day would include: Morning meeting, Assignment of work, loading up the truck, and getting to various turbines. Troubleshooting/repair was entertaining and engaging. What I learned: I learned to think outside the box with many technical issues. To develop good time management abilities, and organizational skills. Management: Management was good for the most part, willing to listen and offer advice and constructive criticism. The hardest part of the job: Climbing multiple 300 foot ladders everyday. The most enjoyable part of the job: Getting to a turbine that had been down for a day or two and getting it running. There is something to be said for fixing a multi-million dollar machine and getting it going again.
Able to keep busy, and learned alot.
Short/No lunch based on work load, and multiple 300 foot climbs.
