A typical day at work would be assisting customers in the what they are looking for, helping out other associates, and making sure we are asking every customers about credit cards and protection plans on merchandise. In the down time I go through my departments and make sure everything is clean, organized and in their right spots on the shelves. After – more...  I do that I go back to the back room and help out with the freight and put it out onto the shelves and make new tags for them as well. At the end of the night everyone helps everyone else out in their departments recover for the next business day. The management at our store is excellent. They help out their associates in every way. We can always go to them with any problems. My co-workers are very nice and very helpful. Everyone chips in and helps each other out. We learn off of each other. The most enjoyable part of my job is being able to help out the customers when they come into the store and look they are exhausted because they can't find the item they are looking for. I take them to the item and show it to them or if we don't have it then I find another way to get the item to them by looking online and they are so happy by the time they leave because they had someone take the time and work with them. – less

This is probably the best job I have ever had. I loved everything about my job; the enviorment, my co-workers, my mangers, the customers. I started out as a cashier, checking out customers and selling the 'Suggestive Sales', answering phones, selling licenses, than I was promoted to 'Full Time Apparel Associate' which than I made sure the store was – more...  looking its best. I'd help customers find what they needed and wanted, whether it was in the store, at a different location, or online. I'd put product out, reorganize, ensure customers of their concerns. All in all, I loved the people I worked with and my duties, I'd always leave with a smile and never dreaded going to work. – less

I loved to work for Gander Mountain, I worked in many departments, and loved them all. Gander Mountain is a Outdoors Sportmen's Store. I worked at the Catalog Headquarters in Wilmot Wi. Catalog went out of business.

Loved helping customers locate their items and see them excited about the outdoors.

Gander Mountain is a sporting goods retail group with stores in many states east of the Rocky Mountains. I found the organization tough to break into from a team perspective.

Gander mountain is a fun and welcoming place to work. The company does not have the greatest pay nor benefits and make sure you do not accure overtime. However the enviroment is warm and friendly.

If you are not a pressure sales person this place is not for you, the management is horrible, and rude if you do not meet the standard of pressuring Credit Cards onto customers you do not have a job ..

My time at Gander Mountain was great! I made friends with all my co workers, further promoting a team effort and happy atmosphere.

Environment during my employment was fair, floor surface difficult to work and walk on.
