I work as a one-on-one with a child with special needs. I take her to all areas of the building. I assist her with following the typical routine of a school day. I redirect her and use verbal prompts to help her with her day. I work with a great group of people who care so much about the children. The hardest part of my job is to try to keep a child engaged in an activity that he or she does not want to do. I have to keep the child focused all day, which is sometimes very difficult.
