Although we're a recently formed company, Gas Drive's depth in natural gas engines is unmatched. We draw on a 40-year legacy of ever-strengthening capabilities, experience and customer relationships in the energy-producing and power generation sectors. Thanks to this legacy, we started operations as by far the largest service provider to users of natural gas-fuelled engines and compressors in Canada, and as a significant provider in the United States.
Following GE's recent acquisition of Dresser Inc., GE's Gas Engines has realigned the distribution channel for products and services serving the oil and natural gas industry. GE's Gas Engines authorized distributors have taken on the combined roles of engine sales and product support, including parts. This was designed to ensure that users of Waukesha and Jenbacher engines receive excellent technical and application support from a specialized service provider with a strong field presence.
Gas Drive was formed as a subsidiary of Enerflex Ltd. to fulfill this role. We thereby started operations with the singular advantage of a sophisticated and field-proven service and support network and its experience in overhauling, optimizing and maintaining all major brands of compression, production and refrigeration. Gas Drive is staffed by hundreds of experienced specialists drawn from the industry.
We see strong benefits to customers flowing from GE's Gas Engines refocusing of the distribution network onto two large, highly experienced oil and natural gas distributors, each with an exclusive service area (WPI serves the portion of the United States not covered by Gas Drive). Gas Drive is committed to providing the best support throughout the gas engine lifecycle - from the initial scoping of the customer's needs, through the bidding and ordering phases, installation and commissioning, to years and decades of maintenance, parts, overhaul or engine exchange, and warranty fulfillment.
