Gazelle, Inc. is seeking an experienced HR Generalist for our newly opened Louisville, Kentucky operations facility. The HR Generalist is responsible for partnering with the local management team to position Gazelle as an employer of choice as we grow in Louisville. The HR Generalist will be responsible for HR support of a 100+ employee multiple shift operation.
Essential Job Functions
Human Resource Generalist duties with a focus on employee onboarding and employee relations.
Partner with site management, corporate HR, and operations leadership to align HR programs, services, and practices to support their strategies.
Manage relationships and staffing activities with our agency partner.
Establish credibility and trust throughout the entire employee population.
Receive and act upon employee complaints and provide guidance to leadership in performance management situations.
Implement and coordinate Employee Relations initiatives that support and promote our “crazy awesome” culture and work environment.
Provide guidance to management in performance management situations.
Provide safety training and administer workman’s comp injury management.
Provide guidance to employees in regards to benefit and general employment questions
Administer and interpret federal and Kentucky state employment laws.
Must be willing to work flexible hours Monday-Friday (first and second shift).
Occasional travel to our Boston, MA Corporate Headquarters.
Minimum 3 years experience in a Generalist role working in a manufacturing, operations or distribution environment.
Currently we are only considering candidates local to the Louisville area.
College degree preferred.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and perform duties in a discrete manner
High degree of professionalism and understanding of customer service
Effective interpersonal and communication skills
Demonstrated ability to effectively partner with site management and corporate HR function
Strong administrative and project management skills
Ability to handle multiple projects in conjunction with day to day activities
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work independently and organize time effectively-must be comfortable working as the sole HR practitioner in a location
