A typical day at work consisted of working your section of the site or location of work. I learned a bunch of new techniques and helpful tips and tricks to be a custodian. This was a very demanding job as I was responsible for 7 people in a very large facility, besides having my own cleaning route to keep up with. The training from upper management was non-existent as we spent more time in the smoke-hut than actually training. It was interesting in the fact that I was able to see the inner workings of a facility like – more... this, but very demanding. Sometimes we would work 12 & 14 hour shifts, shoveling snow & spreading salt in bad weather. – less
