Customer Service Representative (Former Employee), Yuma, AZ – August 22, 2012
Pros: the supervisors are fun to be around
Cons: sometimes we didn't have work for days at a time which meant the checks were very small
it was a fun, nice atmosphere. The supervisors where always helpful and fun to be around. They motivated us to work hard but also to have fun at the same time. The only thing that I really didn't like was there were times we would go almost the whole week with out work because the systems were down and no work was available so that would have a major – more... effect on our checks. – less

Tech Support Analyst-onsite support (Former Employee), WV – June 3, 2012
Im only basing this on my last job but........Global Contact Service (GCS) is a great place to work. They always promoted from with in which gave people like myself, ambitious and self motivated, advancement opportunites. Myself, i did not have a degree in computers but had a technical background installing satellite systems and home theatre systems – more... for Circuit City and other companies.... Global noticed my potential and hired me first as a rep where i was just making calls. Then i was offered an On- Site Support postion where i was able to work with their computers, servers, etc in one of their 13 locations.... After about a year or two of working as On-Site Support a position opened in their main I.T. department in which i applied.... They approved my application and i was hired for the positon. Unfortunitly due to the economy at the time, the company was forced to downsize and i happened to be a victom of the dreaded lay-off we all have nightmares about. But If it wasnt for Global and the training i recieved there then I may not have the additional opportunities i have today. Currently I am looking for employment and to achieve additional certifications with NET+, Cisco, Microsoft, etc – less

The State of North Carolina has long had its troubles keeping within the constraints of their budget. There comes a time when the value of educating the youth in our state must become top priority, and sadly that time has not yet arrived. On the wake of an educational system that is falling behind nationally, teachers preceded roads and construction – more... on the chopping block once again. – less
