Thorough Assessment of Your Relationship: We begin with a thorough assessment of your relationship issues, your relationship goals, the strengths and challenges of the marital relationship, an emotional inventory, and a complete marital history. Our evaluations are based on our years of experience and upon the nationally recognized work of famed marital psychologist Dr. John Gottman. Real-Time Experience: We work directly with you and your partner to show you what your relationship patterns are and how to fix them. Our CoupLinks sessions are "power-packed" with detailed information, skills building and specific guidance in working as a team. Gender Neutral: Many relationship programs fail because they are biased by the gender specific perspective of the therapist. By having both a male and a female psychologist present, each partner has an ally who can understand their point of view. By working as a team, we teach your partner how to speak your "language" and how to move from gridlock to a true understanding and compromise on issues. Experienced Marital and Parenting Partners: We have the added advantage of being two experienced psychologists who also have been happily married for twenty four years. In addition, we have reared two successful sons who are now 23 and 19 years of age.
