Genentech has grown significantly over the years and is becoming more and more specialist based. It has great programs of all kinds to help employees be successful in their career and work/life balance.

Clear Sales goals, excellent upper leadership communication, innovative products that customers and patients need. Sales analysis tools are top notch as well as all administrative function sites. Work Hard, Play Hard environment.

I think Genentech is a great place to work. They have a great culture and everyone seems to be very helpful and friendly to one another.

Genentech has different working divisions and business units. Corporate Genentech has a great family feel and strong business culture. Sites are different based on management.

Meeting unmet medical needs on a daily basis. Learned networking is extremely important with Genentech. Leadership and co-workers very smart and hard working. Most enjoyable part of the job was filling patient needs.

I really loved coming to work everday. In my opinion, it didn't matter what your job title was, from an entry level position to an upper management position, I always felt appreciated for what I accomplished from my team members & by management. • Performing aseptic hood operations with cell-culture and large-scale bioreactor operations.
• Lead department with Class A mentality and implementing LEAN principles, such as 5S, inventory accuracy, and facility inspection activities.

I enjoyed being a Senior Clinical Specialist for Genentech, A member of the Roche Group.

Genentech is a great company to work for. They value you imput and reward for performance. Like the rest of the industry, some downsizing has occurred, however, they do have the strongest pipeline of potential products out of all biotechs.

Great please to work and lots to learn. The distance is a bit out of the way

Genentech has a good public relations ploy selling itself as "A Great Place to Work." Strategic Facilities Planning had a 50% turn over rate over 18 months. The senior dirctor resigned soon after I arrived explaining that working 60 to 80 hours a week left no possibility for a personal life. Another member of the group came to staff meeting every week – more...  repeating the matra "A Great Place to Work" until the day he came in and resigned to go to a better place to work. I would certainly never recommend Genentech to a friend as a place to work. – less
