Space Planner (Former Employee), South San Francisco, CA – November 1, 2013
Pros: it's a job
Cons: bad management style
I was a contractor and my manager was horrible. She would give me projects, but would limit my resources to complete them. She would give me a due date, without any support. It seemed as if she wanted me to fail. There is a lot of micromanagement here. They do not give you any autocracy to do your work. Have to check in to wipe your butt. Didn't give any reason for terminating contract. Glad I don't work here anymore.
Validation Engineer (Former Employee), Vacaville, CA – September 9, 2013
Cons: job is very boring
This is a very easy company to work with... You do enough just to get by... Compensation/Benefits is Great. Company outings and days off many times... Free beer on FRIDAYS (when I was working there).
I had to give it 1 star because its SO-O-O-O BORING. I'm sorry. I was bored out of my mind, and my #1 priority is job satisfaction (passion @t work). There is way too much documentation. That's all I did.
Manufacturing Technician (Former Employee), Hillsboro, OR – August 30, 2013
Cons: if you are a temp good luck in getting hired.
Long hours. New permanent hires tend to be based on who you know in the company and tend to be family related. The buddy system is at work here in this company. No room for advancement. I was very dissapointed during my tenure here. I do not reccomend working here. Fresh youngsters is what this company is looking for. Very backward hiring process. Slow to train. Huge disconnect in management and what is going on production wise. I worry greatly for the future of the company.
Logistic Coordinator/gLearn Admin (Former Employee), San Francisco, CA – August 4, 2013

Great place to work. We work hard and we play hard.
Sr. Environmental Health and Safety (Current Employee), Oceanside, CA – August 3, 2013
Pros: stock, bomeses, fitness center, health benefits
Cons: can be difficult to move up.
I would recommend Genenteck/Roche to others as a great place to work. Salaries are comparable to similar companies in the marketplace. Benefits are great. Stock options and bonuses are offered every year.
