This position was to initiate coproduction programs U.S. military hardware (M1A1tanks) in various countries. Support foreign customers logistic requirements for their armies.
Manage contract budgets, ensure logistic requirements are being addressed for international contracts. Coordinate actions with both foreign and domestic contracts. Prepare status reports for individual contract programs. Develop new business opportunities. Attend staff meetings and present program status to upper management. Present contract status to foreign customers on a periodic basis. Travel to customer sites, both domestic and foreign, to manage the production and quality portions of the commercial and USG contracts.
Opportunity to meet many foreign persons from both military and civilian side of their governments. Met and worked with U.S. State Department personnel.
Managed up to 4 different international programs simultaneously which allowed for the ability to use both planning skills and goal setting in achieving objectives as agreed upon by the customer.
Challenging position. Allowed self management and self initiatives to achieve goals.
Travel internationally all and any days of the week. No time to get over jet lag.
